Workshop Details
Personalised Medicine (PM) is revolutionising biomedical and clinical research while improving the ways healthcare is delivered. The EU is at the forefront of science and innovation in this field, increasing collaborations worldwide, including China. Following a mapping of recent collaborations between Europe and China in PM-related science and technology, the Sino-EU PerMed consortium is now organising an international stakeholder workshops to discuss the main barrier and needs to scientific and technological collaboration among the two Regions. After providing an overview of the Sino-EU PM Landscape you will hear talks about Traditional Chinese Medicine in PM and the influence of EU and Chinese Data protection law to medical and health collaboration. You will have the opportunity to meet experts in the field and discuss and co-create a joint policy paper during the brainstorming rounds which will pave the way to an increased cooperation between China and Europe on PM.
The main objectives of this workshop are to:
- present the Personalised Medicine Landscape in China and Europe;
- present the main barriers to the collaboration between China and Europe;
- discuss each identified barrier and devise strategies to overcome the latter;
- develop recommendations for policy makers' use.
