First Sino-EU PerMed Stakeholder Workshop
In February 2022, the first stakeholder hybrid workshop took place in Florence. Over 80 stakeholders participated onsite and online. The first phase of the Sino-EU PerMed project focused on mapping the recent collaborations between Europe and China in Personalised Medicine. The event was built on the outcomes of these activities. The aim was to discuss the main challenges and opportunities identified in order to foster collaboration among the two regions. As an output from the discussions, a joint policy brief was created.

Publication of Sino-EU PerMed Policy Brief on Fostering the collaboration between Europe and China on Personalised Medicine
As a result of the Sino-EU PerMed stakeholder event, the Sino-EU PerMed Consortium, together with the Science & Technology Expert Task Force, have elaborated a set of recommendations for policymakers which are presented in the Sino-EU PerMed Policy Brief. The document addresses three topics:
- PM landscape in EU and China,
- Traditional Chinese Medicine in PM and
- Data sharing.
For each topic the barriers and needs are identified and corresponding recommendations are provided. The policy brief is available in English and Chinese.

IC2PerMed Survey on Personalised Medicine
At EUPHA Public Health Week, held on 16-20 May 2022, the 'Personalised Medicine and Data Sharing Survey' was presented. Developed by a collaboration between Catholic University and the University of Amsterdam, the questionnaire aims to investigate the general knowledge and opinion of the population about personalised medicine techniques. The questionnaire is available in 6 different languages at the following link.
IC2PerMed Roadmap Validation Workshop
The Roadmap Validation Workshop of the IC2PerMed project was held in Rome on 9 -10 June 2022. The occasion gathered in presence, at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, partners and experts of the consortium met with the aim of discussing and refining the draft Roadmap for the integration between Europe and China in the field of personalised medicine. The event resulted in a fruitful discussion, allowing a shared view to be reached regarding the Roadmap.

IC2PerMed Personalised Medicine Roadmap webinar
The webinar, organised by the World Federation of Public Health Association, 'Personalised Medicine Roadmap: Paving the Way to Realizing Its Full Potential' was held with a very successful turnout of public. The event featured several global public health experts, including Professor Walter Ricciardi, Professor Stefania Boccia, Professor Hui Rutai, Dr Anant Jani and Dr Denis Horgan and focused on the decisive role of the IC2PerMed project for the implementation of personalised medicine in Europe and China.

Successful Start - Frist Sino-EU PerMed S&T Webinar: genomics, rare disease, and devices
In September 2022, the Sino-EU PerMed Project held its first webinar. Examples from three areas of key importance for personalised medicine were presented: genomics, rare disease, and devices. Within each area presentations from China and EU were given. The participants discussed the three most important challenges in the further development and implementation of personalised medicine.

SINO-EU PerMed 2nd S&T Webinar: cancer diagnosis and treatment
The 2nd webinar took place on 13 December 2022. It focused on perspectives of personalised medicine in cancer treatment and diagnostics. 10 Chinese and European speakers gave insides in their recent research work. More than 90 participants registered to the event.

ENRICH webinar
The ENRICH Global Health Innovation thematic group, led by APRE, organised its 1st International Experts Forum & Policy Dialogue Workshop online on 2 December 2022. 'Personalised Medicine Approaches to Active and Healthy Living and Ageing – from care to prevention, to happy living' was the topic around which experts from all over the world exchanged views and experiences and debate to trace the trends and enablers in the R&I landscape in this field. Professor Stefania Boccia brought to the discussion the experience of the IC2PerMed project, highlighting the importance of the European-Chinese exchange to foster the implementation of Personalised Medicine.
IC2PerMed project presentation video
A short video presenting the IC2PerMed was created and presented to project partners and experts on the occasion of the roadmap presentation workshop in Rome to gather their feedback and impressions. This project presentation video will soon be available on the IC2PerMed YouTube channel and project website.
